About the Author of The Guggenheim File | A Jewish Historical Book & AutobiographySylvia Griffiths was born and raised (hell) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She lives with her partner of over 10 years and their 2 morkie dogs in the borough of Queens, in New York. The author is passionate about 4 things: family, French film, futebol, and farofa. She adores her mother and sister - and like The Three Musketeers they live by the motto "All for one, and one for all".

Raised in a multicultural environment, Sylvia speaks English and Portuguese fluently, has a working knowledge of Spanish, and knows a bit of French and German. She studied Humanities and did coursework in business administration in Rio. In 1981, she began working for a Brazilian national television network and print publisher. For a while she shuttled between New York and London, where she led a news broadcast team. In 1985, Sylvia resettled in New York and started her career in the marketing communications services and management.
